# CleanYourTV

> A script, run through an AI coding assistant like Claude Code, that finds your Android or Google TV on Wi-Fi, removes the bloatware and ad-filled apps, and swaps in a plain Apple TV-style home screen. Nothing is uninstalled for good; one command puts it back.

## ShipRadar verdict

This is a real fix people are actually running, not a toy — on Reddit, one TCL owner called their once-sluggish set "so much better now" afterward. The catch: it's for someone fine poking around settings menus and letting an assistant drive, not anyone who just wants a one-tap app from a store.

- Best for: Someone with a cheap Android or Google TV full of ads and sponsored rows on the home screen who's comfortable following step-by-step instructions with an AI coding assistant.
- Not great for: Anyone who doesn't want to turn on Developer Options and USB debugging on their TV, or doesn't already have an AI coding assistant like Claude Code installed on a computer — the tool runs through that, not as a downloadable app.
- Watch out: You have to enable Developer Options and USB/network debugging on the TV first, and it only runs if you drive it with an AI coding assistant on a nearby computer. It's brand new (posted Oct 17, 2026) and community-maintained, so support for less common TV models depends on someone else having already shared a debloat list for it.
