Our take
Running AI privately on a Windows PC used to mean typing commands into a black window. Not anymore. This little app sits by your clock: click it, pick one of the suggested models, wait for the download, and chat, even with the internet off. It's free, open source, and comes from the llama.cpp team and Hugging Face, so it isn't a sketchy download. Two catches. It needs Windows 11, and the models an ordinary laptop can run are much smaller than the ones behind ChatGPT or Claude, so expect simpler answers.
