Pulse Local
A budgeting app for Mac where you can ask questions about your spending in plain English. The AI runs on your own computer, so your money data never leaves it.
Our take
Bank data is about as private as data gets, and this budgeting app keeps it, plus every question you ask about it, on your own Mac. Ask something like "what did I spend on takeout last month?" and a small AI model running on your computer answers from your own numbers. It's free, or pay what you like. The hard part is getting your data in. Outside the US you import bank files by hand, and the first launch downloads up to about 3GB of AI models.
The quick breakdown
- Good for
- Privacy-minded Mac users who want a full budgeting app plus plain-English answers about their spending.
