Our take

Pro $9.99/week; Lite from $4.99/week

Use it for a one-week burst and set a reminder to cancel. For a family archive, a full year of Reimagine costs about the same as five weeks of Remini Pro.

Also look at MyHeritage and Gemini.

The quick breakdown

Good for: Quick face sharpening on a phone for a short burst of photos, then cancelling.
Not great for: Faithful family archives. Its Face Glow tool exists to give people “a new look and feel,” which is the opposite of restoring them.
Watch out: Plans renew weekly. Pro at $9.99 a week works out to about $520 a year, and Remini's terms say uninstalling the app doesn't cancel it.
What people say: Rated 4.6 stars from about 357,000 ratings in Apple's App Store. Its privacy policy says photos uploaded in the app are deleted after one day.
