Best free AI video generator (what you actually get for $0)

Google Flow gives you a few short Veo clips every day. Adobe Firefly is the free pick with no watermark. Most others are trials.

The short answer

Start with Google Flow. Without paying, you get 50 credits a day, enough for about five short Veo 3.1 Lite clips. If you need clips without a watermark, use Adobe Firefly, which has free daily generations and says it never adds one. Kling also gives daily free credits, but free videos are watermarked. Runway and Pika aren’t really free.

Google Flow is the best free deal right now

Google’s Flow help page says everyone gets 50 credits a day, with or without a subscription, and they don’t roll over. A Veo 3.1 Lite clip of 4 to 8 seconds costs 10 credits, so that’s up to five short clips a day for nothing. The better Veo 3.1 Quality model costs 100 credits per clip, so it’s out of reach on the free allowance.

On X, one creator recommends Flow for exactly this reason: 50 daily credits that you can spend on video.

Adobe Firefly if the watermark matters

Most free video tools stamp a logo on your clip. Adobe Firefly doesn’t: its image-to-video page says it adds no watermark to any video, including ones made with partner models. Free accounts get a daily allowance, though Adobe doesn’t say how many clips that is.

People asking for “free, no watermark” on Reddit mostly get told there’s no such thing. In a r/generativeAI thread, one reply said that ship has sailed, and an r/StableDiffusion thread pointed people at open-source models you run on your own computer. That works, but it needs a strong graphics card and some patience.

What “free” means elsewhere

Kling gives daily credits, but its own page says free videos carry a watermark. Runway’s free plan is a one-time deposit of 125 credits, and Pika’s pricing page lists no monthly credits on Free at all. For stitching clips together with music and captions, people in a r/generativeAI thread point to CapCut.
