Runway
Make and edit short videos from text or images. Good for people who want lots of control over the final clip.
Our take
Runway isn't trying to win 'best clip on the first try' anymore. Kling and Veo beat it there. What you get is control: camera moves, consistent characters, and editing a clip by typing. Credits go fast, since every second of video costs some.
The quick breakdown
- Good for
- Creators who like to tweak and edit their AI videos, with control over camera moves and keeping characters consistent.
- Not great for
- Getting the single best-looking clip on the first try. Testers rank Kling and Veo higher for that.
- Watch out
- Every second of video uses credits, and that adds up.
- What people say
- Reviewers call it the best everyday tool for editing, not the top scorer on raw quality.
